9th Annual Russian Music Competition

  

Instruments: All instruments and duets are welcome.  Any instrument other than piano requires an accompaniment.


All selected performers will participate in a Winners Concert.  STUDENTS MUST BUY A PACKAGE  OF TICKETS.  Duets package for DUETS ONLY.

           

Repertoire:  One selection (original) of any Russian-Soviet composer performed by memory.

  • Early level – up to 3 minutes
  • Intermediate – up to 4 minutes
  • Advanced level – up to 6 minutes

The performer must have sheet music for the judges; a written evaluation will be provided to the students (please search for composer to be a Russian only)

Application:            Must be postmarked by October 7th, 2012 (please type and print from web)

 

Application Fee:      $55/per student (NON-REFUNDABLE) ONE CHECK ONLY FROM TEACHERS

                                                          Free gift for all performers at audition day.

                     Duets $40/ per student (NON-REFUNDABLE), but can share Recital Fee

 

Audition Location:     M.Steinert & Sons, 162 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02116

Concerts:                             First Place Winners  (only 55 students from NJ and MA)

                                    Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, NY – December 1, 2012@ 12:00 p.m.                      

                                                  

                     Fee $210 (includes a trophy, certificate, 5 complimentary tickets and photos on CD disk)

        Duets Fee $300 (includes 2 trophies, 2 certificates, 8 complimentary tickets

and photos on CD for each)

Additional ticket price $45


             Second Place Winners – First Parish of Watertown - Date and time to be determined

            35 Church St., Watertown, MA 02472 (NEPTA meeting place)   

              

                                      Fee $100 (includes a medal, certificate, 6 complimentary tickets)

        Duets Fee $120 (includes 2 medals, 2 certificates, 8 complimentary tickets) 

Additional ticket price $20


Third Place Winners- Certificates will be sent to Participants.
