18th Annual Russian Music (Festival) Competition, 2021 ®
Virtual Competition

Deadline for application is September 30, 2021.
The teacher must be a member of TYMA Association for this year (September, 2021 – August, 2022)
Due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19, Audition and Winners concert can be virtual:
Audition – Skype. November 7, 2021.
For virtual audition, we need in one package from teacher:
* Copy of Music for each student* Teacher Application with one check for application fees and $10 additional (postage) and membership fee
* Judge Form for each student
Winners Concert - TBA – Zoom (no concert fees) ONLY audition fees
All instruments and levels, vocal (as well as duets) are welcome to audition.
Any instrument other than piano needs accompaniment.
Qualifications:
Participants must be between the ages of 5-18. Participants can compete in ONLY one category (solo OR duet).
Repertoire: One original selection of any Russian – Soviet composer (by memory). NO long Repeats, please.
If a performer is applying with more than one selection, a separate fee for each selection is required.
Performance Time:
Early level – up to 3 minutes;
Intermediate – up to 4 minutes;
Advanced – average time up to 6 minutes; Increased time – 6 minutes up to maximum 10 minutes
Application:
ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE TYPED WHEN SUBMITTED.
HANDWRITTEN APPLICATIONS WILL BE RETURNED.
All applications submitted after September 30, 2021 will need to include a $20 late fee.
Audition Fee:
Solo up to 6 minutes (ONLY) or less $80 (non-refundable)
Solo 6 minutes up to maximum 10 minutes $100 (non-refundable)
Duets up to 6 minutes (ONLY) or less $60/per student (non-refundable)
Audition Results:
Will be emailed to the teachers within one week from the audition.
ALL JUDGES' DECISIONS ARE FINAL. TYMA has no input on their placing awards.
